What we measure and collect

We count visits to this site so we can make it better. We do it ourselves, and we keep it anonymous.

• What we collect: which pages and sections are viewed and for how long, how far you scroll, which controls you use here (like the theme picker), your country, your device type and screen-size range, browser family and language, your light or dark and reduced-motion settings, the site that linked you here (and any campaign tag in the link), whether the visit comes from a data-center network (a sign of automated traffic), how fast the page loads and runs, and any errors the page hits (without web addresses).
• From your visits, we never collect: cookies or anything stored on your device, your IP address, a visitor ID, or anything that links one visit to another. No ads, no data brokers, no third-party analytics.
• If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the page sends us nothing.
• Visitors in the EU, UK, and Switzerland: we count page requests only, not in-page activity.
• Detailed records are deleted after 30 days. After that we keep only daily totals.
• Our host, Cloudflare, handles requests to this site and keeps standard security logs.

If you sign up for updates

• What we keep: your email address, the boxes you tick, your answer if you write one, and when you signed up and confirmed.
• Why: to send you occasional updates about Swan and to understand who is interested. That's all.
• Who sees it: only Swan Network Labs. We never sell, rent, or share it, and we don't use it for ads. Your email is never linked to your visits.
• Where it's kept: on our own storage at Cloudflare. Emails are sent through our Google Workspace account.
• Your answer: we read it, may group it with others to see themes, and may use AI tools to help summarize answers, without your email address. We won't quote you publicly without asking first.
• How long: until you unsubscribe. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days. When you unsubscribe, we delete your details, including from our backups within 30 days.
• Your choices: every email has a one-click unsubscribe. To see, correct or delete what we hold, write to hello@swannetworklabs.com.
• Age: for adults. Please don't sign up if you're under 16.
• Not an offer: we don't offer or sell securities through this site or these emails.

If you answer our listening questions

• Who collects it, and why: Swan Network Labs, to learn what is hard for people and small businesses before we decide what to build. It's product research, not marketing, and not a sale.
• What we keep: your answers, including a few optional details about your household or business, such as its size or roughly what you spend, which link brought you to the page (a coarse tag such as the organization that shared it, never anything about you), the version of the questions, and when you answered. We don't ask for your name, and we don't collect your IP address, your browser's details or anything stored on your device. Your answers are never linked to your visits or to the updates list.
• Not anonymous by promise: we don't ask who you are, but what you write could still identify you, so please write only what you're comfortable with. Please don't include passwords, account numbers, health details, or anything confidential from your employer or customers; if something like that arrives, we delete it and don't use it.
• If you ask us to write once: we keep your email address apart from your answers, use it for that one message only, and delete it after 90 days, including from our backups within 30 days after that.
• How we read answers: we read them ourselves, may group answers to see themes, and may use AI tools to help summarize them. We remove names and contact details first, and we only use tools that don't train on what we send them. We won't quote you publicly without asking first.
• Your ideas: if you suggest ideas, we may use them freely, so please don't share anything you'd want to keep for yourself.
• Where it's kept: on our own storage at Cloudflare, read on our own computer. Nobody else gets it: no sale, no sharing, no ads.
• How long: we review answers after 12 months and keep only what we still use. To have yours deleted, write to hello@swannetworklabs.com. Because we don't ask who you are, tell us roughly when you answered and something you wrote, and we'll find and delete it. Deleted answers also leave our backups within 30 days.
• Age: for adults only. Please don't answer if you're under 18.
